Information to Mariners

Please be advised that as per local regulations, all ships bound for Israeli ports must transmit IMOT (Israeli Ministry of Transport) report when passing the 100 nautical miles distance from the coast of Israel.
The Imot report must be sent directly to Israeli Navy by email shipping@yam.netvision.net or shipping@idf.gov.il or fax 972-3-6064567 and to Haifa Radio (4X0) on VHF channel 16 or by fax 972-4-8699017 or tel 972-4-8699016 or email
haifaradio@bezeqint.net.

When passing the 25 nautical miles distance from the coast direct communication with Israeli Navy on VHF channel 16 or by email shipping@yam.netvision.net or shipping@idf.gov.il or fax 972-3-6064567 shall be established.

Please note that the contact with the Navy can not be considered as a substitute to the required reporting through Haifa Radio. IMOT report 100 NM off Israeli coast (= Arrival notice) to Haifa Radio and Israeli Navy must include the following details (the same to be sent to vessel's agent):

  • Name of Ship and previous name (if any).
  • International call sign.
  • Flag and port of registry.
  • IMO number.
  • MMSI.
  • Satellite Tel. and Telex number.
  • Year of built.
  • Gross tonnage.
  • Ship's type and cargo on board.
  • Number of crew and passengers.
  • Agent's name, Telephone, Fax.
  • Name of Owner and Operator.
  • Is the ship holding a valid International Ships Security Certificate (ISPS)?
  • What is the security level on board? (1,2,3)
  • Last and previous port, date of departure.
  • Port of destination.
  • Position course and speed.
  • ETA (UTC). 
  • Crew list including: Name, Rank, Nationality, Residence (country & city), age, gender, and seniority in company, date of sign on, Passport and S.B. Number.
  • Ships which do not report to IMOT according to procedure will not be permitted to enter any Israeli Port.

    25 NM off Israeli coast:
    Direct Report to Israeli Navy
    1. Name/Call Sign
    2. Present position, course and speed
    3. ETA.

    *Haifa Radio assumes a GMDSS watch-keeping responsibility by an Automatic Digital Selective Call 24 hours a day on VHF channel 70 and MF 2189.5 kHz.

    IMPORTANT: Report to agents at least 48 hrs prior vessels's arrival to Israeli ports:
    Vessel calling an Israeli port must submit to agent following details with a crew list at least 48 hrs before arrival.
    1. Ship name
    2. Present position
    3. Expected navigating course until Israeli port
    4. Crew list
    5. Direct telephone number via satellite or any other telephone number in order to communicate with  the vessel at sea directly 24 hour a day

    MARITIME DECLARATION OF HEALTH
    Maritime Declaration of Health to be sent by Master to port authorities (with copy to us) 12 hours prior vessel's arrival to discharge port:

    IMMIGRATION:
    PLS NOTE AS PER LOCAL REGULATION ALL CREW ON BOARD ARRIVING TO ISRAELI PORTS SHOULD HOLD VALID SEAMANBOOK AND VALID PASSPORT FOR IMMIGRATION PURPOSED.
    IN CASE SEAMANBOOK OR PASSPORT WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE, IMMIGRATION AUTHORITIES MAY PREVENT CREW FROM GOING ASHORE.
